– The Brigantine TIMES – November 1, 2024 – VOL. 55, NO. 44

Santuccis’s Original Square Pizza opened this week in their newly renovated property located at 3728 Atlantic Brigantine Blvd. Santucci’s claim to fame features square pan pizza with sauce on top of the cheese and their motto is “It’s Hip to Be Square.” The new business, owned and operated by a local resident, offers a full lunch and dinner menu including starters, soups, salads, wings, pastas, pizza, strombolis, flatbreads, sandwiches, burgers, fresh baked desserts and beverages.

As far as the square pan pizzas, individual slices are available and you can choose from a wide variety of their specialty pizzas in different sizes. Gluten free pizza is also available. Inside of the new business is seating for 45 people (with booths) and additional seating outside in the front of the business. Outside, on the North side of the property is where a two-story deck is being built that will seat 40 people on each level of deck.

Alicia gave the Times a tour of the property and explained, “We will have music playing outside on the decks probably starting in the spring but people can sit outside now and enjoy their food. There will also be space heaters on site to take the chill out of the air when the deck is finished.” Santucci’s will be open 7 days a week from 11am to 11pm. Delivery will be available to anywhere on the Island and to the portions of the AC Marina District. Santucci’s has partnered with Kennedy Cellars, a NJ vineyard in Hammonton, so you can order some wine with your food, or if you like BYOB.

Alicia added. “We are excited about becoming part of the Brigantine business community and welcome everybody to stop by and see what Santuccis has to offer.” Santuccis will also be offering a Pizza Perks Reward program where you can earn points and cash rewards. In other Brigantine business news, when 2 local bars closed, there were rampant speculation and rumors flying all over the place on Facebook as to why they closed, creating controversy, some of which was directed about Brigantine being able to support year round businesses. In the case of the Pub at St Georges, it can be verified after speaking to one of the owners, that the reason for closing is a marital issue and has nothing to do with a lack of support from local residents and visitors. In fact the owner I spoke to is upset that the business had to close and that owner is trying to reopen the Pub, but there might be obstacles in place that could take time to work out. Eventually the business could be put up for sale if some type of agreement isn’t reached, but the reason for closing wasn’t due to a lack of local support, it was sadly a personal situation. The Brigantine Times wishes Santucci’s Pizza the Best Of Luck and will keep you updated on any developments with the Pub at St Georges.
