Santucci’s — known for their square pizza with the sauce above the cheese — quietly opened its new location in the township.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — One of the region’s biggest names in pizza is now in Cherry Hill.
Santucci’s Original Square Pizza quietly opened a new location in the Holly Ravine Plaza, growing the Philly-famous pizzeria’s presence in South Jersey.
It’s open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for dining, takeout and delivery.
In 1959, the Santucci family founded their first restaurant in the City of Brotherly Love. Their recipe — making pizza in a square pan with the sauce above the cheese — was considered unconventional at first but has since inspired pizzerias throughout Greater Philadelphia.
Santucci’s now has about a dozen restaurants, with more on the way in South Jersey.
Steve Bombaro and John Dingler — the franchisees for Cherry Hill’s location — are also preparing a Santucci’s restaurant in Deptford. Santucci’s will also become available at The Taproom in Haddon Township.
Santucci’s of Cherry Hill is located at 100 Springdale Rd.
